Fourteen Lobos Selected to Texas State Band!
Langham Creek High School's Lobo Band just broke another Cypress-Fairbanks ISD record! We are extremely proud of the band students who were selected to the 2001 Texas All State Band. This honor, according to Mr. McAdow, was "our best showing ever."
To give you an idea of the magnitude of this honor, the Lobo Band competes in what many consider to be the toughest Area in Texas. Within our Area, we have some of the finest bands in America. In other words, selection to the All State Band from this Area means that our band students compete against the best of the best in Texas.

UIL Texas State Finalists
On November 6, 2000, the Lobo Band received 8th place at the State Marching Band Contest in Waco, Texas. The band finished the marching season as the only Cy-Fair school to reach the finals. We are very proud of all the directors, students, parents and volunteers who helped make this achievement possible!

Division One Ratings and Best of Class
On October 15, 2000, the Lobo Band received unanimous Division One ratings and Best of Class at the Katy ISD Contest. This was a great start for our band!!
Honor Band places 1st at Regionals!
CONGRATULATIONS 2000 Symphonic Band members!! Our Honor Band tape won 1st at the Region level and received 1st place votes from all five judges at the Area level. There are now only 14 bands left! You have made it to the state level! The recordings of the 14 bands will be judged at the Texas Bandmasters Association Convention in San Antonio on Sunday, July 23.
Outstanding High School Band Award
The Lobo Marching Band received yet another accolade last week as Tomball Chamber of Commerce President presented the Lobos with a plaque proclaiming them as the Oustanding High School Marching Band. Previously this fall Langham won both the Spring ISD marching band contest for the sixth consecutive year and the Katy ISD contest for the second time in three years. Additionally, the percusion unit won top honors at Spring and the drum majors won top honors at the Katy contest. In the finals Langham was awarded a fifth place finish, the highest earned by a school from CFISD. Of special note is that Langham Creek was awarded 2nd place for best Musicianship.
On November 20, Langham participated for the fifth time in the Tomball Holiday Parade in front of a crowd estimated at 40,000. The parade featured 184 entries including the 54 candidates for Miss Tomball.
Sudler Flag of Honor Award
On May 16th Langham Creek High School was awarded the Sudler Flag of Honor by The John Philip Sousa Foundation and to recognize this honor Mayor Lee Brown declared May 16th to be Langham Creek High School Band Day for the City of Houston.. This international award is often considered to be the preeminent award that a high school or collegiate band program can receive and has been awarded to only 38 high schools. Receiptents of this acheivement are required to demonstrate excellence through both over a seven year period of time and submission of tapes played in the year of application and also documented excellence over a minimum of a seven year period of time.
This music submission was a recording of multiple selections by the 97-98 Langham Creek Symphonic Band. Symphonic members who are also residents of Copperfield include Charlsie Bondy, Annie Sylvester, Andrew Brandman, Amy Heidbreder, Eric Weisinger, Brian Martin, Brian McBee, Heather Garrett, Chris Mills, Ash Jackson, Michael Kleinecke, Matt Menger, Allison Hill, Lauren Chrismer, Eric Petersen, Jason Attaway, Steve Thompson, and Robby Halsor. All of the above individuals also received 1's on their solo and ensemble pieces at UIL competition.
Jason Attaway served as one of the two Drum Majors of the band for the last two years. Making All-Region band included Charlsie Bondy, Annie Sylvester, Andrew Brandman, Amy Heidbreder, Eric Weisinger, Brian Martin, Brian McBee, Heather Garrett, Chris Mills, Michael Kleinecke, Matt Menger, Allison Hill, Lauren Chrismer, Eric Petersen, Jason Attaway, Steve Thompson, and Robby Halsor. The band director of Langham Creek High School for the last seven years is Mr. Scott McAdow.
